4 DAYS TANZANIA LUXURY SAFARI

Tarangire - Serengeti - Ngorongoro - Moshi

On this 4-day lodge safari you will visit three of the most well-known reserves on Tanzania's "northern circuit" – the Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park. With all the diverse landscapes and a crater full of animals, this safari has something for everyone and is very ideal for those with limited time. Serengeti on its own is one of Africa's leading national park due to its enormous wildlife biodiversity while Tarangire is famous and unique for its sheer numbers of specific animas like the elephants as for Ngorongoro it's much more like a "book of wildlife knowledge".

Day 1 Moshi – Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide and after a short briefing you will then set off to Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa

Day 2 Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will drive towards the fertile crater highlands through areas where farmers grow wheat, corn and coffee. You will then pass through Ngorongoro Crater reaching the plains of the Serengeti National Park around midday. The Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, mountains and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called Kopjes that dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. Depending on the season you will get to witness the migration of thousands of animals especially the wildebeest who record the highest number of mammal migration in the world which is one of the main reasons why the park is famous. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to september they return up north. This circle of life is completely dependent on the yearly rainfall patern and the locations of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. You will spend the night at your tented lodge.
