Our Great Serengeti Migration Safari tour has been crafted to enhance your opportunities to witness the great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration. So as to maximize your game viewing time in the northern Serengeti, this itinerary allows you to fly back from the Serengeti National Park to Moshi. The package also gives you an opportunity to visit the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. From August all the way to October, the migration heads north, out of the central Serengeti, splitting into two routes. The largest group heads into the western corridor crossing the Grumeti River in spectacular stampedes. The African Nile crocodiles wait patiently to snatch wildebeests as they make way across the river so as to end up in the Nothern part of the park where they will be making another river crossing at Kogatende(north Serenget) to cross the Mara River and reach the lush grazing in Kenya's Masai Mara
Early morning breakfast then drive to the Central Serengeti, the lush plains of the Serengeti have made it an ideal home to wildlife for millions of years. This ancient ecosystem continues to thrive and wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and giraffe are often seen grazing in herds. This is one of the best places in the world to spot lions dozing in a shade, also leaping after a marked prey or gnawing off a share of their hunt, later in the evening drive back for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, you will head out to make the most of the day. There is a chance you may see the animals crossing the Mara River. Hundreds of thousands of desperate wildebeest gather together on the banks of the river, gazing wistfully across the turbulent water at the green grass on the other side but not one animal will make a move. All it takes is one brave wildebeest to take the literal plunge and, then, all follow! The animals that do successfully avoid the awaiting crocodile jaws and make it over the river are rewarded with the lush green grazing grass of the Masai Mara.
