Day 1-7| Tanzania
Where and the activity...
Day 1 Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide and after a short briefing you will then set off to the Lake Manyara National Park. The small park stretches along the 600 m high Rift Valley Escarpment and is dominated by the alkaline Lake Manyara. Many water birds gather at the lake and more than 400 bird species are found in the park. The diverse vegetation provides a habitat for many animals such as monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands and elephants around the acacia trees. If you are very lucky you might also see the Manyara lions, lounging on the trees, a behavior that isn't common to observe from these big cats when in other areas. In the late afternoon you will leave the Lake Manyara National Park and head to the Lodge, where you will spend the night.

Day 2 Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will leave the area around Lake Manyara National Park and head to Serengeti. You will then pass through Ngorongoro Crater reaching the plains of the Serengeti National Park around midday. The Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, mountains and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called Kopjes that dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. Depending on the season you will get to witness the migration of thousands of animals especially the wildebeest who record the highest number of mammal migration in the world which is one of the main reasons why the park is famous. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. You will then head back to the camp for dinner and over-night stay

Day 3 Serengeti National Park
After an early start, you will travel along adventurous dirt tracks with breath-taking views as your vehicle climbs out of the Rift Valley to reach the grassy plains of the Serengeti by midday. Serengeti means "endless plains" in the language of the Masai and you will see the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon. The Serengeti is the most famous park in Tanzania and it is home to the largest animal migration on the planet – hundreds of thousands of animals trek to find fresh grass and water. You will overnight at a camp in the northern or central part of the park.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park
The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. You will either go on a full day game drive or join early morning and afternoon drives in the Seronera area, depending on last night's stop. Between December and May huge herds of wildebeests and zebras will be seen, with calves and foals being born between January and March. The Seronera area is also the best place to spot the shy and nocturnal leopard. You will spend the night at a camp in the Seronera area.

Day 5 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
The morning is set aside for another game drive in the Serengeti and you might spot some creatures that you haven't seen yet. Animals tend to be more active in the morning before the temperatures soar around midday. After lunch, you will leave the plains of the Serengeti and travel to Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 6 Tarangire National Park
The perennial Tarangire River and seasonal swamps is the reason Tarangire is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Animals gather up at the river during most times of the day allowing you to see a variety of African mammals elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks all year round. Furthermore the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen once in a while though cheetahs are rarely spotted. Later on, you will drive to your accommodation.

Day 7 Tarangire National Park - Moshi
In the morning after breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a final game drive in Tarangire National Park making your way out of the Park heading back to Moshi. On a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As you zip along you will pass many Maasai in their colourful dresses along the roadsides, herding cattle and driving donkey's carts. Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other wildlife. From the open roof of our state of the art safari jeep you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and life giving Tarangire River endeavouring to encounter a multitude of creatures from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name but a few. If lucky you will glimpse lions stalking prey or leopards relaxing on trees. you will arrive in Moshi later evening for you drop off.
